I think the bull gear needs to be made out of a stronger material. I would have not of had to replace the motor assembly if it was built to last.

Warranty Replacement

The purchase was a warranty replacement which I was glad Orbit covered. The original part cracked/split at the collar where the rotating arms t-fitting screws into. The support I received was great and I believe it wa due to being able to provide copy of receipt and a picture if the cracked/split collar. Although I purchased about 5 years ago, spelunker had only been used a few times. I hope the replacement lasts a long time.

Your warranty is the best. I have two Orbits. One had quit traveling and you graciously sent the motor assembly to get it going again. My yard would be a disaster from hot Texas summers without the convenience of these traveling sprinklers.

I would like to say thank you for your time spent helping me with my problem. I initially called to see about a fix and there wasn't one so your representative was able to send a new assembly.

Fine motor, but.....why can't I buy parts only?

Fine motor, with wheels, identical to the LR Nelson motor that comes without wheels for the same price.
What I would like to see, is the availability to buy parts like we used to be able to with LR Nelson before Bosch and then Fiskars bought them. What fails, and should be available as sets: 1: The worm & worm gear, 2: The final drive gears, 3: The lower housing.

Works like new

Works like new. Just wish there was a more quality option with metal innards so it would last longer. Cheap plastic gears end up wearing out too fast and then they just "skip" and it eventually becomes a stationary sprinkler. Until you buy another "motor" assembly, that is. Planned obsolescence.

Replacing design error

Replaced plastic mechanism that makes sprinkler walk & spin. Design flaw that allows water feed to pop out of body. Metal barbed into plastic doesn’t hold over time. This is the second time replacing in order to keep water feeding sprinkler.
