Frequently asked questions

Some questions and answers are automatically generated.

How much area does this sprinkler cover?

The sprinkler covers up to 50 ft. in diameter, which equals approximately 1,960 sq. ft. Several reviewers confirm coverage of 40–50 ft. depending on water pressure from your source, and note it can also be adjusted for smaller areas by reducing water flow.

Does it spray evenly across the whole area?

Yes. The 3-arm twirling action delivers 360-degree coverage, and multiple reviewers report achieving edge-to-edge watering across large garden areas. One customer notes the coverage is dependable across their entire yard.

How tall does the sprinkler adjust to?

The telescoping base adjusts from 23 inches to 35 inches in height, allowing you to customize positioning for different plants and garden layouts.

Is it easy to install and reposition?

Yes. Reviewers consistently describe it as very easy to push into soft turf or soil and easy to remove and reposition. One customer specifically noted how handy the adjustable height is for a flower garden.

Will it fit in storage during winter?

Yes. The sprinkler telescopes down into a smaller size for convenient off-season storage, and reviewers appreciate this feature.

Is the spray gentle enough for flowers and shrubs?

Yes. The sprinkler delivers a soft, rain-like spray ideal for gardens, shrubs, and flowers. One reviewer specifically uses it in a perennial flowerbed and states it is the only sprinkler that works well for that purpose.

How durable is the brass construction?

The brass arms and step spike are built to last multiple seasons with normal use. However, one reviewer experienced the brass top separating after one summer of moderate use, though the manufacturer provided a replacement. Another customer who used this sprinkler in a hard sand/rock yard broke one but ordered more, indicating confidence in the product.

Does it stay in place or shift during use?

The step spike holds it firmly in place when pushed into the ground. Reviewers report stable positioning during watering.

Can I connect multiple sprinklers together?

Yes. The sprinkler has a flow-through outlet, so you can connect multiple sprinklers in a series to expand your watering coverage.

Is it quiet during operation?

Yes. One reviewer specifically noted the sprinkler is totally quiet, which is a benefit if you prefer low-noise watering.

The 3 arm sprinkler was a warranty replacement for the same product that broke. It is the only sprinkler that I have found that works for a perennial flowerbed that I have. Orbit kindly and efficiently replaced it with just a phone call on my part and I’m back in business.

I REALLY like this sprinkler however after one summer of moderate use the brass top shot off when I went to use it for the first time this summer. The hardware store was unable to help me fix the problem. Orbit did send me a replacement so I'm happy again and hopeful that this one has longevity!!!

This is a nice sprinkler

This sprinkler is working out nicely in my back yard, getting edge to edge coverage. The telescoping feature will be nice for winter storage.

sprinkler

love it !!!

This was a replacement and we love it

Love these sprinklers! Our hard sand/rock yard finally broke my first one, so I ordered 2 more.

Unit I purchased from big box store made me order another Sprinkler. The one that I received doesn't spin as well as the first one I purchased...tried WD-40 and lossening the connection with not much difference....revoleves very slow, regardless of hose used.

Used this sprinkler for the first time last night. It is easy to push into the ground and the height can be adjusted which is very handy in a flower garden. With water turned up all the way, it watered a large area, probably 40-50' (I guess that would depend on the water pressure, and I am on a private well, so pressure may not be as high as city water pressure), but I was also able to use if for a smaller area, about 10' diameter, by decreasing the water pressure. I love that it is totally quiet and is versatile.
