Great quality valve last a long time

Thanks for replacing the one I installed last year. Turned on system and one of them was leaking at the top, the stem. Always shut down the system every year. Some reason it froze and cracked the unit. Again thanks for replacing it.

Can this valve be used as a master valve? If not, what would you recommend (3/4inch system)
This converter valve is used to make a manual valve into an automatic one, so this part alone would not be able to be used as a master valve. We have inline valves that would work as a master valve (Part numbers 57280 or 57290).
