The relay supports 120 VAC pumps up to 1 HP and 240 VAC pumps up to 2 HP, with a 25A contact rating at 240V, making it suitable for a wide range of residential and light commercial pump installations. A 24 VAC coil connects the relay to the pump or master valve terminal on your sprinkler controller using standard AWG 16-24 sprinkler wire. The water-resistant ABS enclosure is built for outdoor durability and features conduit knockout plugs for clean, code-compliant wiring runs.

Installation is straightforward — mount the relay box at least 5 feet from your controller using the included mounting template and No. 8 hardware, connect your AC power wires (AWG 12 recommended), and wire the 24V leads to your controller's pump terminal. The relay is compatible with Orbit, Hydro-Rain, B-hyve, and Husqvarna Automatic Irrigation Controllers. UL and CUL approved for safe installation. For outdoor irrigation use with cold water only.

The pump start relay is compatible with irrigation controllers from Orbit, Hydro-Rain, and other major brands. For outdoor irrigation use with cold water only.
