The Yard Enforcer™ comes factory-programmed in Intelligent Sensing Mode. This mode conserves water and batteries by detecting significant, repetitive activity (false alerts), then reducing the activation frequency to 1 per minute for 1 hour. During initial setup, you may reach this limit while adjusting the sprinkler's position.

To disable Intelligent Sensing Mode: Turn the dial to OFF, then press and hold the 30 MIN Watering button for 20 seconds until the unit clicks.

To re-enable: Repeat the steps above.

Keeps the deer from destroying my garden.

We have a lot of deer that travel through our property. I have been using these sprinklers since 2020. Without them, deer eat all of my garden plants. Recently, I noticed a feral tomcat spraying my firewood pile. I tarped the wood and pointed the Enforcer at the wood pile. I have not seen (or smelled) the tomcat since.
I appreciate the thirty minute timed watering also.

Works fine, but I prefer the older style with no hose connections. A choice would be nice.

Bad valves

They sent the sprinkler over night which was awesome. After I put it together and turned it on it would not turn off. Talked with customer support, they sent me a new valve. Put it together spent another hour on the phone with customer support sent them several photos and videos. Another faulty valve. They are going to send me another. Hopefully it will work

My motion sensor didn’t detect motion after I pulled it out of winter storage. I when to the website and chatted with a rep who asked several questions and then provided me with a credit to replace the defective part of the unit. I have since received it and the Enforcer works perfectly once again.

The one star isn’t for the motion sensor per se

The one star isn’t for the motion sensor per se. But the orbit enforcer sprinkler head has leaked and we have replaced parts and it continues to leak. For the money we spent on this, additional motion sensor, additional sprinkler head, plumbers-tape, and everything else we can think of doing including a pressure gauge, it it still leaks like a sieve. It now is as useful as a garden gnome.

I have used Enforcers for 15+ years to keep deer out of vegetable garden. The day/night I shut it off in the Fall the deer clean out anything left in the garden. The deer population has grown, eating everything, tulips to hemlocks. I now protect everything with Enforcers. Winter is still a problem.

It barley sees me when I walk in front of it

It barley sees me when I walk in front of it. It will not turn on unless I'm no further than 10 feet away. I don't see how it could possibly detect the birds I'm trying keep away from my pool and fence.

Works as advertised !

I bought the Yard Enforcer to protect my fish from the local raccoons.
The first night on duty, it had them critters wet and rattled and headed over the fence. They might come back, but now we’re ready.

Average performance

Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. I have seen a cat pass by thru my motion camera. At one time it worked but it took a while before it reacted to the cat within its field of vision. Another incident, the cat passed by and no response at all from the Yard Enforcer (the range is set to max).

Replacement Valves

The problem that caused me to call about the 2 valves persisted. As a result, I measured the pressure of the water into the manifold and coming out into the valves. The pressure into the manifold was 40psi and the pressure coming out of the manifold was 10psi. That's the reason the sprinklers are not popping up. You sent me a replacement manifold 2 days ago and I'll install it as soon as I received it. I'll return the existing manifold to you if you like. I REALLY APPRECIATE ALL YOUR COOPERATION IN RESOLVING THE PROBLEM! If I can act as a reference supporting Orbit, I'd like to.

It worked

I bought this to prevent a squirrel from eating my strawberry flowers. Turns out - you are supposed to clip the flowers within the first year of planting so they develop deeper roots.

Welcome wildlife, and repel them sustainably : this sprinkler did everything as advertised and it's awesome.

Great Company, Great Prouct

I have had an ongoing problem with deer (and cats) invading my vegetable garden. I decided to purchase a motion-sensor sprinkler to try to deter the critters. I decided to purchase directly from Orbit, not through a distributor or Amazon, mainly because direct with the manufacturer is almost always more responsive if something goes sideways. After about 2 months of working flawlessly, keeping the deer away (and sprinkling me from time to time), the product stopped working. I went through all the troubleshooting, and looked for help online. Nothing helped. So I called Orbit. A very nice representative walked me again through the troubleshooting steps. The unit still did not work. And to my delight and surprise the agent said, "We'll send you a new sensor head. I received the replacement last week, installed it, and again, the sprinkler is back to working well. I'm super impressed with this company that stands behind their product.
