Frequently asked questions

Some questions and answers are automatically generated.

Does this wand reach gutters on two-story homes?

Several customers note that the 70-inch maximum length is ideal for single-story homes. Some reviewers wish it extended a couple of feet longer, particularly those with taller homes, suggesting the current length may not reach all gutters on two-story properties.

How well does it clean out leaves?

Many reviewers report good results cleaning gutters, but a few note that it works best when gutters aren't heavily loaded with leaves. Some customers found it more effective at washing away debris than removing compacted leaf buildup, particularly in shallow gutters.

Is it powerful enough to clean gutters effectively?

Most reviewers confirm the wand produces plenty of water pressure and is easy to use for regular gutter maintenance. A minority of customers report limited results, particularly if gutters have heavy debris accumulation.

Can I use this without climbing a ladder?

Yes. Multiple reviewers highlight that the telescoping design lets them stay on the ground to clean gutters and downspouts, making it safer and more convenient than ladder work.

Is the grip comfortable during extended use?

The product description notes the padded foam grip adds comfort and insulates hands from cold water; reviewers describe it as easy to use, though none specifically address grip comfort during longer sessions.

Does it work on non-standard gutters?

One reviewer noted it was designed for conventional rain gutters but used it on an awning gutter with some difficulty, suggesting compatibility may be limited to standard gutter profiles.

How durable is this wand?

Reviewers praise the build quality and durability. One customer noted the hose connection uses plastic threads and opted to upgrade with a brass quick connect to ensure longevity, suggesting the plastic connection may wear with repeated use.

In LOVE with my gutter cleaning wand

I love my gutter cleaning wand for reaching those areas that are had to get too. It’s better and safer than a ladder.

I love this cleaning tool, but...

I love this cleaning tool, but it broke the first day. Orbit replaced it at no charge, so that was wonderful. I think it broke because of the way it was packaged for delivery. No wrapping, box too big, it rattled around in that big box.

Not Sure It Helps Much

It seems to clean the gutters only if the gutters aren't really dirty. Will probably wash out the granules from the roof shingles, but doesn't seem to get the leaves out.

Saved me from getting on a ladder was able to clean gutters down spouts before heavy rain events

Saved me from getting on a ladder was able to clean gutters down spouts before heavy rain events. Saved time ensured I protect my home.

Spray handle-Should Be a bit longer

I like it but 2’ longer would have been much more useful.

I haven’t used it yet but my neighbor has one and had let me borrow it to try out and I knew it was something that would be a great help for me.

Amazing tool…

Works great in my single story home!!!

Real good product works good

Bendy wand magic

This tool is perfect for cleaning tight awning gutters. The 4 angle settings available are enough, and easy to switch between. The fan jet coming from the nozzle shovels debris along as well as possible.

This is also great for any gutters that have shingles improperly covering too much gutter to fit your hands into.

Use a light, flexible garden hose with this, and be careful not to damage the plastic shutoff valve.

Too short

Thank you for letting us know about one of our Watering Wands being too short in length. Our Customer Care team would be happy to discuss your product concerns and help to find a solution that works for you. We can be reached by phone at (800)488-6156 or online at support.orbitonline.com. Have a great rest of your day.

works great

Good pressure, no leaks.

Nice build.

I feel this is one of the handiest tools I have. Love that I can stay on the ground and keep my gutters clean. I am sure I will find a number of ways to use this tool.

Awesome

Works well, easy to use, creates plenty of water pressure to get the gutter clean.

Excellent Service

Had a small defect with the product when received. Orbit immediately sent me a replacement product at no cost.

Works great, just wished the part where the hose goes in was not plastic. I put a brass quick connect on the end so I do not have to worry about wearing out the plastic threads over time.

Great product

Easy to use and works great.

Does the j o b w/o climbing up a ladder.

It's designed for conventional rain gutters but I used it on my awning gutter It's a little more difficult but possible, for my use if the spray head could move on 3 axis.
