Engineered to fail, otherwise multi-pattern good

These are billed as heavy duty, guaranteed for life items. They have extremely thin metal "trigger/levers", with the thinnest metal at the maximum stress point. Any engineer can tell you this is guaranteed to fail. On the plus side, Orbit replaced them for free. But this is sad. The multi-pattern works very well for many things until it failed. The nozzle is not the ideal tool for anything I can think of.
