Product Description:

What This Pump Does
The Misting Booster Pump (Model 92100) increases pressure from your hose faucet (typically 40–60 PSI) up to 160 PSI. This extra pressure helps extend mist coverage and improves mist fineness when hose pressure is low or runs are long.

Standard Mist Tubing Limits
Orbit's standard 3/8" mist tubing is rated for 45–120 PSI working pressure. At the pump's full 160 PSI output, the tubing exceeds its working pressure rating and risks failure (burst or rupture).

When This Pump Works Best
The booster pump is designed for:

Garden hose faucets delivering less than 40 PSI static pressure
Mist system runs longer than 75 feet
High-pressure misting systems

Not Recommended For
Standard Orbit mist system kits with runs under 75 feet or stock rubber tubing run at full pump output (160 PSI).

Specifications:

Frequently asked questions

Some questions and answers are automatically generated.

Does this pump work on long mist line runs?
Yes. It's designed to solve low pressure on runs longer than 75 feet, boosting pressure to 160 PSI for finer mist and improved cooling effect across extended setups.
How quiet is the pump during operation?
Several reviewers report it's much quieter than expected. To minimize vibration noise, some customers recommend mounting it to a stand-alone post rather than directly to the house.
How easy is installation and setup?
Customers describe it as super easy to install. It features tool-free Slip-Lock connections and mounts securely to any wall without complicated assembly.
How long does the pump typically last?
Most customers report reliable performance, though one noted durability challenges in intense Arizona heat conditions lasting 1-2 summers. It includes a four-year warranty covering parts and labor.
Is this pump good value compared to commercial units?
Yes. Reviewers highlight excellent pressure for the price, with one customer noting it replaced a commercial-grade pump and motor setup that repair estimates put at $1,500.
Does it work with standard misting line tubing?
Yes. Use it with a 100 PSI pressure regulator for standard 3/8" mist tubing. Flow is 1.1 GPM with optimal inlet pressure of 40 PSI.
Can this pump be used year-round indoors and outdoors?
It works indoors or outdoors with cold water only. The description does not address seasonal storage or winter use.

Highly recommended!

The 160 psi booster pump is much quieter than I anticipated and super easy to install. Based on other reviews, I did not attach it directly to my house to minimize vibration noise; I attached it to a stand alone post. The 3 kits of 3/8” professional kits were also very good! Set up the system today and it works great! No complaints

How does this pump connect to a water source

Orbit

For installation: Attach the ⅜" slip-lock ports on the inlet and outlet. We recommend a calcium inhibitor filter between the pump and the water source; flush the filter 2 minutes before connecting. Install a pressure regulator if the hose faucet pressure exceeds 40 PSI.
