Replacement solenoids open and close automatic irrigation valves via a 24V connection to your controller. When electricity flows, a stainless steel rod lifts off a bleed hole, allowing the valve diaphragm to open and water to flow. Built with a copper core, insulated lead wires, and waterproof resin casing to protect internal components. Interchangeability depends on the solenoid footprint — check the compatibility chart in images.
Solenoid failure is rare, but replacement is straightforward: turn off the mainline, remove waterproof wire nuts, unthread the old solenoid, thread in the new one, reconnect wires with new waterproof wire nuts, and turn the mainline back on.

Orbit Jar Valve

My second Orbit valve on the same system in 2 or 3 years. They sent me a solenoid for free but it didn’t fix the problem. I replaced the valve with a Rain Bird valve and the system now performs better than ever.

They buzz

They buzz. None of my other solenoids buzz The others have about half the coil resistance so maybe these save a little energy? The buzz suggest to me that they have a small operation margine versus others tha just click.

Some solenoids can be louder than others, though there shouldn't be any issues as long as the valve is functioning correctly. I ordered this because I had bought one from Amazon and the ohms were too high

I ordered this because I had bought one from Amazon and the ohms were too high.
Readings of 65 to 68.
I called orbit and told them this and told them this valve was made in South Korea.
He said that is too high and if you purchase from the Orbit site they are made in the U.S.
I checked the ohms on the both solenoids and the were both 61 ohms.
It should be between 20 and 60.
These solenoids are no better than whatI received from Amazon.

Sileniods didn't function properly

Sileniods didn't function properly. Wrong replacements were sent. Not impressed at all

The solenoid doesn't fit my Orbit valve

The solenoid doesn't fit my Orbit valve and (according to the website) I can't return it for a refund. I'd have preferred to return it and exchanged it for a complete valve.
