hope this one lasts

This is my third one outlet single-dial hose faucet timer. I seem to be purchasing one every year. I only use it on the manual setting to fill my pool when the water level gets low. I set it for 1 to 1 1/2 hours so I don't have to watch the hose. This timer seems to fail after a year. There has to be something not right about that, but it's my only option for the cost.
