Description

The medium area all-in-one automatic sprinkler system kit is engineered for creating a 1-zone automatic sprinkler system using a hose faucet water source. Enjoy the convenience of an in-ground sprinkler system without the hassle of connecting to an in-ground water source. This kit features the B-hyve Smart 1-Outlet Hose Faucet Sprinkler Timer with B-hyve Gen 1 Smart Hub. It is part of the B-hyve Smart water management device ecosystem which includes smart landscape controllers, hose faucet timers, flow meters, leak detectors and mainline shutoffs.

You can control the timer anywhere in the world where your smartphone has reception. Smart not only means that you can control it from your smartphone, B-hyve WeatherSense® technology makes it weather smart. When connected to Wi-Fi, B-hyve automatically checks your local weather conditions many times each day, recalculates the soil moisture level in each zone, and then makes smart choices about when and how long to water. In the event of rain, high wind, or freeze, B-hyve will delay watering until normal conditions return and then will calculate the appropriate watering schedule, helping take advantage of beneficial rainfall and saving water. The patented Blu-Lock tubing system uses a revolutionary stainless steel retaining ring that grips the flexible pipe from the outside permitting a quick, easy-to-slide-on fitting which installs 80% faster and is 25% stronger than traditional barb fittings, providing you a stronger system in less install time.

The 6 pop-up gear drive sprinkler heads are easy to adjust with the water on or off, providing head-to-head coverage to ensure against dry spots. Recommended for hose faucets which have at least 50 PSI static pressure and 5 gallons per minute (GPM) of flow. decent DIY- but cant get exactly what you want easy

does what it advertises, sadly, the orbit site is VERY limited with what you can purchase after however. The "B-hyve" kit works fine, and included the hub, but both was the GEN 1. There is no way to opt in for a different option. Sadly, the other issue I ran into was once I got the kit installed and working, I wanted more, I bought a B-hyve XD 4 port, but also had to buy the GEN 2 hub (piece meal) from home depot. Now after having this kit, I knew what I needed for components, and the big box stores (Lowes, Home Depot) has Orbit supplies, but its VERY hard to piece together what you need, Most hose parts look just like the "blu-lock" components, but are NOT. They are the "drip lock" group, so I ended up needing to buy the pipe, and each piece separately. (blu-lock and drip lock are slightly different sizes and are not compatible) The main reason for that is even the Orbit amazon site took a week or two to ship ANYTHING, so I did what I had to to get what I wanted. No, its not a "professional" in ground sprinkler system, but its not bad. again, my issue with Orbit is no way to get what you need (for instance, try looking for blu-lock ends or connectors on their site). the web page doesnt show any, but you can search and find it on amazon, but again, takes WAY too long to get it shipped. (and seems MUCH more expensive this way).
