Thank you for honoring the warranty and replacing the defective hoses. I would have given 5 stars but the replacement hoses that you sent me are made of the same material as the original hoses. It appears the metal connectors on the ends of the hoses are made of some type of aluminum or aluminum alloy that corrodes and rots. After one short season, approximately four months, there was much corrosion and required pliers to get them off the outside water spickets. The hoses I replaced were at least 7 or 8 years old with brass couplings that screwed onto the water spicket and nozzles. I have never had a problem with rust or corrosion with the older hoses. I know orbit is a good company and if I were part of it, I would definitely look into the metals used on these hoses. I would not purchase another hose with connectors made with this material. Hopefully I get more than one season out of the replacements hoses.
