Sensor de inundación inteligente B-hyve - Paquete de 5, 71005

100-30% in 2 days….Not sure if battery or software issue….

Three of the sensors came with batteries below 25%. Dropped offline within three days

Batteries were 30% or less

Seems to work as advertised. A bit disappointing that 11 days in all of the batteries are nearly gone.

Several of the sensor's, when I activated them were only at 40%. So I will have to replace them sooner than expected.

So far so good! I have one in everywet locatio, definitely nice to know i have a system to help stop a potential water disaster

Battery life is horrible. They all went to 20% 1-2 days after activation.

B-hyve Smart Flood Sensor - 5 Pack is GREAT!

Sensors work great and alert you if there is water. I test them from time to time and they continue to work perfectly.

I cannot get it to connect to the wifi extender.

The hub works great, was easy to set up, and works with other devices as well

They seem to work well when tested and would get a higher rating except I installed them and have gone away for the summer and the batteries are almost dead after 3 weeks which means they will not last until I get back.

One week into deployment and batteries show 25-35% This can't be right. Suspect there is an issue with the software. Site proclaims batteries should last a year. How about one or two weeks? Then, I had to collect all of the sensors, get the QR code and re-deploy. Couldn't just do one. Maybe that was me being a dumba$$ but there are no instructions on how to remove the battery, just mentions the size. Overall, they integrated into my existing B*Hyve app so that's cool, There is also a feature to stop watering if water is detected on the sensor - nice integration. Now if B*Hyve would integrate with eyeonwater service for true water consumption, that would make everything tighter.

The battery life is horrible, at least when the pucks are delivered. Only purchase if you desire to replace batteries often.

Documentation says that sensors can be within 150 feet of the XR Sprinkler controller with G2 hub. I have sensors less than 50 feet (although through 3 ways) that keep getting dropped. I tried sending email to the support address, but it is no longer active. I haven't had the time to try again via the web portal.

If it were not for the hub's inaccurately advertised Bluetooth range, or had the flood sensors used (possibly more expensive) WiFi instead of Bluetooth, I'd be so happy!

I haven't given up, but I'd hate to have to pay for *another* hub to place inside just because the range is not as advertised in my context. And this is with brand new batteries, so I can't expect things to improve!

So, I can't say about the sensors per se. But as a single bundle with the XR controller, as I bought it - this is not working.

But, with another hub configuration, your milage might very. Just know that there are so, so many choices now - many using mesh communications, like SmartThings, that extend so much better around a house if you have enough of the devices dotted around your place.

Batteries die after a few days. Not good if you are planning to be away!

I had just installed them and within 24 hours got an alert that my kitchen sink was leaking. Sure enough it appears it was my garbage disposal and it looked like it had been leaking for awhile since there was already damage to some items under the sink. I didn't even notice the water when I put the sensor down. Gave me piece of mind that these actually work and relieved to find this out before heading on vacation!

Is a peace of mind now they are in place.

Arrived with nearly empty batteries. Orbit refused to replace the batteries.

Easy to setup and use.

One of the batteries was almost dead as soon as I installed it!

One of our replacements is not working.

They work great.

Dead batteries upon arrival

I appreciated that the 10 sensors I purchased were easy to set up. However, about half of them had batteries that were nearly dead so I had to buy new batteries for my new devices. I talked with a rep from Orbit, and the response was “yes, that happens. We can’t help you. Go buy some new batteries.” I expected a better response.

These additions have been working fine with my B-hyve Smart hub. Easy to set up.

Great customer service

TL;DR: worth the purchase for sleek and efficient devices and ease of use. Minimal effort for peace of mind.

Sensors are pretty solid: detect water quickly, notifications are delivered near real-time across all channels, haven't had to futz with the app besides initial setup. At first, I didn't think the temperature sensors would be that helpful but going into a midwestern winter, it's good to know how cold it's getting around my indoor pipes on especially frigid days/nights. I'd give an inbetween 4 and 5 if possible just because I experienced one instance where a sensor went off from water intrusion, but after cleanup/drying, the sensor didn't immediately go off when I reintroduced water; a subsequent test triggered it immediately again so it may have just been a fluke on my part. Furthermore, battery life is pretty impressive on these. I was s concerned that the coin cell batteries in these wouldn't last very long since I have them at varying distances from the hub. I think some folks are correct that the batteries arrived missing some charge (though, this could be for various reason relating to how the batteries were stored before shipping, shipping regulations, etc. I don't think this is a huge problem) So far, the batteries haven't lost much charge and all sensors are still operating after a few months. I'm suspicious the app - or perhaps the sensors themselves - aren't totally accurate at reporting their battery life over time since mine initially started in the 80-90's and steeply dropped down to 40-50's, since leveling out and slowly dropping more consistently over time. Additionally, I do notice that the further away devices have drained slightly faster but that's to be expected to make up for the extra signal distance, and it's truly nothing significant.
