Save Money and Go Green with a Smart Home Sprinkler Timer

Mounted b-hyve irrigation controller

Yard care can be surprisingly expensive, especially when it comes to watering. According to recent data from the U.S. Bureau Of Labor Statistics[*], the average monthly water bill in America is $104 — an increase of nearly 30% in the last decade[*]. If you have a big lawn, your bill may be significantly higher than that.

Water is expensive, but it’s not just cost that matters: a lot of the water used in lawn care isn’t put to good use. It ends up wasted because of imprecise watering practices, increasing the environmental impact of your home.

That’s why we created B-hyve, the world’s first smart home watering timer. B-hyve allows you to water smart. It helps you make watering decisions based on the ecological needs of your yard, while giving you the freedom to control watering from anywhere with your smartphone.

To date, B-hyve has saved more than 30 billion gallons of water nationwide. It’s the smarter, cheaper, greener way to water.

Here’s a look at why B-hyve’s sustainable water movement is growing so quickly, and how you can use a B-hyve to save money and make your home more green.

30 Billion Gallons Of Water Saved

B-hyve is the future of watering. It uses WeatherSense technology to monitor local weather patterns. Then it adjusts your controller in real time to deliver the right amount of water to your plants.

If there’s rain in the forecast, high humidity, etc., B-hyve will change your watering schedule to make sure your yard gets all the water it needs and none of the water it doesn’t.

The result is far more efficient watering. You’ll never overwater again, saving you thousands of gallons of water each year. Your plants will be healthier, too.

Water Smarter, Pay Less

All that water you save is as good for your wallet as it is the environment.

B-hyve technology is already affordable, and with the decrease most B-hyve users see on their water bills, the B-hyve pays for itself within a few months.

The B-hyve saves you water and money every month — and if that isn’t enough, it’s also the most convenient water timer on the market.

Water Your Yard From Your Smartphone

With B-hyve, you’ll never have to manually adjust your water timer again. No clunky buttons, no confusing scheduling menus — you can control B-hyve remotely, from anywhere in the world, using your phone or computer.

Traveling abroad? Leaving your house for a couple weeks? Not a problem. The B-hyve app lets you monitor water usage and schedule your watering in real time. It combines unprecedented convenience with total control, so you always return home to a healthy, happy yard.

Smart Home Automatic Watering Options

Don’t want to think about your watering schedule at all? B-hyve also has a completely automatic smart watering option. You just set the days to water and B-hyve takes care of the rest.

Once you set your schedule, you can leave the B-hyve alone for years. With WeatherSense technology and humidity monitoring, B-hyve will water your plants perfectly, every time.

my watering system is winterized and need to turn on my system but do not know how. I pay yearly to have it maintained and usually someone comes around to open up the system, However, since the virus, no one has been here. How do I turn it on myself?

Why did you limit the rebate to one clock? I happen to have two six zones-one front one back and so I bought the smaller clock, still thinking about a second

I have the B-hyve Smart Home Sprinkler Timer, I control 5 stations, can it control the B-hyve Snart hose timer as well or
do I need to have the WiFi model to control it with the smart Iphone and app that I currently use.

I use the b-hyve controller on my avocado orchard and It works brilliantly! Is there any plans on designing a flow meter sensor and pressure sensor compatible with the b-hyve?

We installed new gutters and lost our hidden pathway for connecting wires from our 57946 B-hyve to the water valves. Do you have a lithium power pack so we can place the controller next to our water valves. Better yet, do you have wireless micro controllers that connect directly to the sprinkler valves. (one unit per valve).

It should be required by law that all people should have this as their water in system given the fact we will have a water crisis in the next 30 years

Irrigation water is important in Texas. Installed this device in 2017. I like the WiFi feature. Lets me control each individual 12 zones remotely using my Samsung s9 cellphone app while out in the yard. No more running back and forth to the controller to switch on separate zone. I have been known to start single zones while still in bed having my morning breakfast.

AND the wireless rain sensor actually stops the weekly watering when rain is in the forecast. The rain sensor is a Fort Worth City code required device.

Our home wireless internet router detects the B-hyve controller so firmware updates are automatically completed. Cellphone app is also automatically updated.

    Great design. Good job!

Best feature is you can voice control it with Alexa. Not just for watering. Use with a camera system and a properly placed sprinkler and you can remotely deter any strays, dogs, deer, humans, from the property.
