HOW TO CONVERT A SPRAY HEAD TO DRIP



Learn how to convert an existing spray head to a drip irrigation system.

What You need for this job.

Step 1


Select manifold
Select manifold
Select the drip manifold that best suits your situation.

Step 2


Remove spray head
Remove spray head
Remove the spray nozzle from riser and wrap the riser threads with thread seal tape.

Step 3


Attach drip manifold
Attach drip manifold
Twist the manifold onto the riser.

Step 4


Measure and cut drip tubing
Measure and cut drip tubing
Cut 1/4" drip tubing so it is long enough to go from the manifold to the plant to be watered.

Step 5


Remove cap from drip manifold
Remove cap from drip manifold
Unscrew a cap from one of the manifold ports and slide the tubing over the port.

Step 6


Attach drip line
Attach drip line
Install a drip sprinkler or emitter by sliding onto the end of the of the 1/4" tubing. (Depending on the sprinkler/emitter selected you may also need to install use a 1/4" drip stake.)
