HOW TO ADJUST AN IMPACT SPRINKLER



Orbit impact sprinklers come in a variety of materials, all providing maximum coverage.  The plastic impacts provide better performance at lower pressures, but the metal offer better durability.  In this video we show how to adjust impact sprinklers to get the desired coverage and results.

Step 1

To adjust the flow, simply increase or decrease the water flow at the faucet source.

The diffuser pin can be adjusted to provide either a more solid water spray for further distance or a fuller fanned pattern for shorter distance.

The deflector shiled can be lowered to provide a lower stream, or lifted, to provide a higher stream and greater distance.

Pattern adjustment method: Trip pin and collars
Pattern adjustment method: Trip pin and collars
The collars can be set by pinching and moving into place to provide the desired pattern radius.  Or, the trip pin can be lifted to provide a full circle of coverage.
