HOW TO ADD A SPRINKLER USING ECO-LOCK



In this tutorial we show you how to add a sprinkler to your existing Eco-Lock system.  Repairs just take a matter of minutes and only require a couple tools. Eco-Lock is the fastest, easiest and most environmentally friendly way to make additions to your sprinkler system

Step 1


Dig up area surrounding pipe
Dig up area surrounding pipe
Begin by digging up the area surrounding the pipe.  Be careful not to break the pipe in the process.  You may want to put lose grass and soil on a tarp to keep things clean.

Cut Pipe

Once the pipe is uncovered, remove a small 1.5" section for the fitting.  Be careful not to remove too much pipe.

Attach Street Elbow to Eco-Lock Tee
Attach Street Elbow to Eco-Lock Tee
Insert the 1/2" Eco-Lock street elbow into the Eco-Lock tee.

Next, attach Eco-Lock tee fitting by simply pushing it onto the pipe.  Some flexing of the pipe will be necessary.  Push both ends until they are secure.

To create a swing joint riser, begin by cutting a length of 1/2" Eco-Lock pipe 8-12 inches in length. (Length of pipe is determined by distance of head from sprinkler line.)

Screw the 1/2" MPT elbow into the sprinkler head. Insert the 1/2" street elbow into the 1/2" MPT elbow. Then, insert the pre-cut 1/2" Eco-Lock pipe into the street elbow.

Insert the 1/2" Eco-Lock tubing and sprinkler assembly into the 1/2" street elbow on your sprinkler line.

Step 8


Position Sprinkler
Position Sprinkler
Position the sprinkler by rotating and moving to the desired location.

Step 9


Test Sprinkler and Bury Line
Test Sprinkler and Bury Line
Test the sprinkler by letting it run for 15-30 seconds, then burry the line with the dirt you removed.

Cover with Grass
Cover with Grass
Cover with grass and you're ready to go!
